A view in that general direction last year (April 2019). I've not been back to Victoria Square in more than 2 months (or the City Centre).

    Sparkhill Congregational Church

No problem Maurice. Do you miss living in the UK? Yesterday at the College Arms saw this: And this was on the wall near the new extension to a shop (close to the Blackberry Way).

    Sparkhill Congregational Church

The modern 41 went on the Stratford Road, then went down School Road, Hall Green around a weird route around Gospel Oak towards Solihull. They changed it the 41A and 41C in the 2000s (didn't last long), which only went to Solihull. The 41 stopped going beyond the College Arms to the City Centre...

    Stratford Road

If you are on the bus going down the hill on the Stratford Road between Hall Green and Sparkhill (Springfield), the Greet Mill Meadow would be on the left. Then the Blackberry Way is on the right. They were probably renamed by the Council in the last 20 or so years when they developed the...

    Sparkhill Congregational Church

In the last couple of decades we have lost the 31 and 41 bus routes that used to go past here. Although a version of the 31 goes from Acocks Green to Solihull. There used to be a 37 on the Warwick Road, but that is now the 4 and 4A (from Gospel Oak). The 1 goes to Five Ways, the 1A to the QE...

The first three photos were taken from what is now called the Greet Mill Meadow. Part of the Shire Country Park. Near the Stratford Road is this large grassy area. The Blackberry Way is on the other side of the Stratford Road. There are paths that goes all the way from Yardley Wood...

    Sparkhill Congregational Church

I think at the time of the fire, I heard about bus diversions, so the 1, 1A and 6 would have had to go a different way at the time. Hopefully they can repair it. Put sprinklers in or something.

I took some new photos of the Stratford Road Bridge from the Greet Mill Meadow while on my daily walk on lockdown. This was before going into the Blackberry Way. Saw a rat. No bill posting. Plaque Took these after coming back from the Blackberry Way.

Which is the quicker transport option to Walsall from Birmingham - bus or bike?

The train is faster to Walsall. Bus takes over an hour. Depending on which route you go on. Only hot a bus all the way to Walsall once years ago and it took ages. One of the 9XX routes.
