Another look at the Food Market building on Lakey Lane in Hall Green. It's been closed for a very long time.
At the top it says: BCS (or C BS).
I previously took it in the snow of March 2018.
I just finished watching it (in two halves). After the Leeds & Liverpool, they went back to the Grand Union with the coming of the railways. Next week is London to Bristol.
The canal programme was a re-edit of the Grand Union Canal programme and the Leeds & Liverpool Canal one. Not sure if they are reshowing the Leeds & Liverpool next week though.
Took the Twinings ghost sign on Russell Road / Shaftmoor Lane, Hall Green again on my daily walk earlier this evening. Was raining.
Some more painted details underneath.
Walked the Edstone Aqueduct on the 31st May 2020, back when it was nice and sunny (before rainy June).
Saw this narrowboat and inflatable dinghy. Going over the longest aqueduct in England.
The new June 2020 update of the Icknield Port Loop from today.
Back at Edgbaston Reservoir.
Port Loop from Icknield Port Road.
Rest of the views from the dam as usual.
The Port Loop development is well underway at the Icknield Port Loop, so time for a separate canal thread (couldn't find an individual one).
My earliest photos from May 2011.
Gate to the Shakespeare Garden was locked last week, probably due to the lockdown / pandemic.
I've got a project over at Birmingham We Are for Lightwoods Park. I've got one post up, and have two pending posts ready (not sure when they will be published / approved). But you can check out...
I also got to see the drinking fountain near Galton Road for the first time without hoardings in the way.
This is a quote from William Shakespeare's Timon of Athens, Act I, Scene II.
I went back to Lightwoods Park on the 2nd June 2020, for a lockdown walk to Warley Woods. Starting from Adkins Lane.
New photo of the Bandstand.
I noticed that the middle part of the Rest House was missing.
New views of Lightwoods House.
