    Whitmore Warehouse in 2009 from the Birmingham & Fazeley Canal near Newhall Street. April 2009. No canal arm. November 2009 - just rain water. Canal view - wall on the right is now gone.

    Back for a walk around town today. Popped to the Jewellery Quarter near St Paul's Square. Got three new photos of 61-64 Ludgate Hill. The building on the right is under scaffolding. Doesn't look to good.

    212-213 Broad Street in the 1980s

    View of the site on Broad Street in 2016 during the Great Birmingham Run. TGWU was still there at the time. In 2018 a takeaway called Bombay Mix had closed down. Broad Street Cars was also above. Today this is the MODA Living construction site of The Mercian.

    The Mercian from MODA is one of the new buildings going up now on Broad Street. Between the Travelodge and Hampton by Hilton hotel. The road between the Novotel and The Bank is now called Oozells Way.

    Some views of the Birmingham Hippodrome from Hurst Street. They face an uncertain future due to the pandemic / lockdown / loss of earnings etc. Social distancing in the theatre would be hard.

    View towards the Bullring over the Smithfield site. Taken from Barford Street through a gate. I'm not sure when this Smithfield development is due to start. First time walking around Southside and Digbeth in 4 months of lockdown (can go on the bus again).

    I wasn't expecting to go back as soon as the middle of July. Got so used to being at home. Still Broad Street was a lot less busy than it used to be before this pandemic.

    Since I've gone back to work this week after 3 plus months on lockdown, popped to Westside at lunchtime. Got these of Centenary Square. Symphony Hall foyer.

    Since I've gone back to work this week after 3 months plus on lockdown, had time today at lunchtime to go to Westside. Got this view of the tracks between Regency Wharf and the former Crown pub (Reflex 80s Bar).

    Birmingham Town Hall

    Some morning views of the Town Hall before going to work for the first time in over 3 to 4 months. Paving outside looks complete. I'm not sure if they have reserved a space for the Iron:Man.

    Only the plaque has come back. Not seen anything else yet and a page that Attwood was holding is missing, or hasn't been reinstalled yet.

    Went back to work today, so popped to Chamberlain Square. Thomas Attwood statue was seen behind a fence that I couldn't get behind.

    IRISH CENTRE DIGBETH TO CLOSE

    The new Irish Centre is now on Wheelers Lane in Billesley. Old gates to the Transport Stadium.

    The Irish Centre is now based on Wheelers Lane in Billesley and saw this war memorial inside of the gates.

    Castle Bromwich Hall

    Castle Bromwich Hall Gardens has been opened again, with lockdown restrictions eased. Tickets can be bought on their website before you go. Some more views of the hall.
