Would guess a stop for a drink in the cafe. Wonder if the National Trust member card will be valid? Mine expires in April though.

    Canals of Birmingham

The water is clean, apart from litter in it. Views of trains on the Cross City Line next to the W & B. Volunteers I think regularly clean the canal (or the Canal & River Trust volunteers does it).

    Paradise development 2020

Yes the old Copthorne Hotel will eventually be demolished and a new one built. There is another building further to the left of here that will need demolishing in the next few years.

    Canals of Birmingham

Towpaths on the W & B were mostly clear / clean in Selly Oak and Edgbaston, apart from certain patches. The Stratford-on-Avon Canal from Kings Heath to Yardley Wood was quite muddy the last time I went on it. Both canals have cyclists regularly going up and down. Ariel Aqueduct on the...

    Canals of Birmingham

Another look at the Lapal Canal site in Selly Oak from the Worcester & Birmingham Canal below Sainsbury's. Near the Bristol Road. Possible towpath (not sure). If the canal is to be rebuilt, they will need to dig up here and build another footbridge.

    Birmingham Town Hall

The Town Hall was fully restored in the mid 2000s. Wikipedia says it closed in 1996 and reopened in 2007. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birmingham_Town_Hall#Renovations

    Then & Now

Michael you'd be glad to know all the concrete has gone. Well from the Chamberlain Square area any way. The new buildings are much better, opening up the view to the Big Brum clock tower, which was hidden behind Madin's library for decades. The City is going Forward, attracting more people from...

    Then & Now

The 11A and 11C still run to this day from National Express West Midlands. And sometimes they do still come in two or threes. It would normally say 11E Acocks Green if going back to the Acocks Green Bus Garage. They are always changing drivers near the garage on the Fox Hollies Road. And before...

    Digbeth

Don't know if you like modern street art around Digbeth. But a few days ago got a chance to go around Ghetto Golf before it opened with a Facebook group I'm in called Brumtography. So there was graffiti all over the place. They did recreate The Old Crown there though. I think it must...
