    Paradise development 2020

A couple of after dark shots of Paradise Birmingham. After 7pm. Centenary Way. Chamberlain Square from the BM & AG steps.

    Victoria Square

Roadworks outside of the Town Hall in Victoria Square after 7pm. The measuring equipment that used to be down here has gone (not sure if they are returning). Also I think that they may put the Iron:Man down here, but not sure yet.

    Then & Now

Well The Holte End is behind The Holte pub on Trinity Road. What did the old Trinity Road Stand look like before it was rebuilt?

    Then & Now

The first photo looks like The Hole End. That is still there. As it was 10 years ago. Google view is of the Trinity Road Stand. As it was 10 years ago.

    Moor Street Station

1930s style done in the 2000s. Replaced the late 1980s version.

    Moor Street Station

The modern platform 1 does lead out of the Snow Hill tunnel towards the Bordesley Viaduct. This Chiltern Railways train was at platform 1, early in January 2020.

    A B row Aston-Birmingham

A B Row doesn't exist any more. Last year saw a car park on the Eastside Locks land, that still hasn't been built on. Don't really take photos much of this corner any more, or not recently when nothing has changed here. Also not got much reason to go this way since my work moved from the...

    IRISH CENTRE DIGBETH TO CLOSE

Earlier this month was graffiti on the former Irish Centre in Digbeth. But the Digbeth High Street sides have since been painted over all white (not the side roads from what I've seen from the bus).

    Paradise Street

A few photos from over the last decade or so on Paradise Street. Facade of Queen's College in 2009. Pedestrian diversion in 2015 when Fletchers Walk was still there. Cars in 2014. Will never be cars on Paradise Street again. At least they shouldn't go on what is now a tram only street...

    Metro progress 2020

I think there used to be plans for a Sprint Bus from Hagley Road down to Quinton, not sure what happened with that. So at the moment, you would just use the existing bus services on the Hagley Road.

    Birmingham Irish

Lots of take aways, sweet shops, Asian women's clothes shops etc. You should see the litter from the bus. There is the odd Council litter picker, but they need volunteers to pick it all up. Oh and the fly tipping on the old Vale Onslow demolition site (hoardings broken into).

    Metro progress 2020

Thank you. It's a bit tricky with the bars in the gates on the walkways, trying to stick my lens in between the squares. And hoping the shot comes out in focus.

    Birmingham Irish

All the pubs in Sparkhill and Sparkbrook (on the Stratford Road) have long since closed down. Many are now Asian restaurants. The Bear is still vacant. The Mermaid is now a Portuguese restaurant (was closed for years after the last fire).

    Broad Street

Not sure how deep they are digging or if they will be laying the sleepers directly onto the muddy surface. They usually divert underground pipes first.

    James Beresford & Co

Not sure if this is the right thread, but saw Biddle and Webb Auctions on Icknield Square from Ladywood Middleway.

    Paradise development 2020

Roughly about here 10 years ago. The right hand corner I think.

    Paradise development 2020

Another new view of BM & AG from Centenary Way near One Chamberlain Square. Outside of One Chamberlain Square new steps are being laid, and a new restaurant called Dishroom will open in Spring 2020.

    New Street City Centre Birmingham

They re-paved the ramp and changed the glass railing section when New Street Station was done up at the time. Not sure why Network Rail didn't have the section above the shops recladded.

    Centenary Square development 2020

Just the Library of Birmingham with the water jets in the reflective pool. At the moment the pavement from Broad Street is closed and you have to walk towards the Hyatt then down to Library Tram Stop. Closed near Symphony Hall. The Metro extension beyond Library Tram Stop on the start of...

    New Street City Centre Birmingham

Do you mean the bank or the Premier Inn hotel above it? All that's changed is the odd bit of cladding and new signs.
