The only city centre one I have ever heard off was . The moor street public rooms and prison. Pictures show back and front. Build around 1805 picture 3.
Just a couple of pictures starting with a map showing the corner of Broad street and easy row before memorial hall and after. Ignore blue circle obviously.
I don’t think we have mentioned goodrick street school Saltley .Goodrick Street School was the first state school in Birmingham between Saltley Road and Fowler Street, and is now marked by a plaque.
At the time when this whole area was cleared, a small metal ring was removed from the middle of the ground between the Shambles and St. Martin's church. Can’t seem to find out if this ring was saved to go to the history museum or not.
