    Taken last night at about 22.00 in near darkness, we had (we think) an Owl and 2 baby Owls at the top of one of the big trees at the railway bank backing onto our garden.     In 1878 Hockley Brook was the boundary between Brum and Aston - so Villa St & Brougham St (Lyn) and Guildford St (me) were over the border as it were... Does this mean we both get kicked out?

    Have been exploring the Birmingham Collections website. Real goldmine this one - thousands of photos from amongst other things the Warwickshire Photographic Survey - most of which I have not seen before. Also loads of old maps etc. I'll leave you to explore - you can easily navigate your way...

    Where have I seen all this before.......not mentioning any millenium poi.......sorry places........ Go to the collections centre instead - they actually have things to see there like.......exhibits......... rather than endless open spaces and snazzy signs which seem to be way museums are...
