Yes - lots and lots of them - top, bottom and at the side. Also - if you go to the "privacy and cookie settings" tab and turn them off, it totally ignores what you have entered and just carries on regardless.

    Trams

This one does not look like a Birmingham tram as it has a destination box on the front which is quite square off upstairs. Could be wrong though?

planned housing village at perry barr

Bet most of new houses will be retirement homes - that is the only thing built up here in Sutton Coldfield these days. One just opened on the old cinema carpark, and a huge one under construction on Coleshill Rd. One recently finished on the main road between Wylde Green and Sutton. In relation...

Tawny Owl update - last night the 2 chicks (without mom unfortunately) arrived whilst it was still light enough to see them, so we managed to get some decent-ish photos:- Then the one chick flew away for a bit:- By now it was dark so we had to use flash again - the chick was...

Wonderful photo. The thing I like best about looking at historic photos is the people - they can tell you so much about the period and living conditions etc.

Deep in the bowels of the Collections website there is a collection of photos of gypsy / traveller sites - mostly from 1930's with a few from 1970's. Hidden amongst them for us bus enthusiasts are some ex-Midland Red buses being "repurposed" - like this one:-...

    Dunlop Building

I started at Fort Dunlop in 1982 - as I understood it a lot of the workers houses were built along the Tyburn Road. I used to get the 40A bus from Lozells Rd initially (we lived in Newtown then), and got off at the still extant tram shelters in Holly Lane. Various things changed over the years -...
