    Sweeneys , tv rentals

    When we got married we bought a Philips B&W Tv from Collis, it had a coin meter on the back and I fitted a small switch to it to override the meter when we were broke! years later we had a early stereo video from Sweeney which was great until the heads went and the "idiot" who repaired it...

    Davos, Switzerland Sunday Mercury & Kunzle

    My Mother was born in Davos and her sister lived opposite the sanatorium. We knew the Kunzle family very well and used to visit when we went over on holidays, my uncle owned the Davoserhof hotel just up from the railway. Below are some pics from the Hotel brochure

    My Mother was a friend of the Kunzel family and we used to visit them in Davos when we went over on holidays, sorry I cannot remember anymore about them but I was under 10 years old at the time, just remember the unusual name!

    FRYER Family of 43 Nelson Road, Aston, Birmingham - 1920

    Hi Mollymo. Mrs Janet Pierce still lives in Bevington Rd, the daughter still lives with her, her name is Janet. The brother is called Billy, same as his dad, and left to live in Walsall.Whenever my wife goes through Aston she knocks on her door but no one answers! Good luck with your search! Pete

    Hi Robert. Love your poem, sadly the area has gone downhill from then, we have problems with gangs of youths calling themselves the "B13" gang who fight the "B14" gang and spray graffiti everywhere. Even Holy Cross Church is not immune from them, i'm sure if you stood still they would spray...

    I had to have a union card and I remember going to the civic hall to listen to the speeches, when I went to work on the Bullring the first thing was to show your union card. My memory of the now "old" Bullring was the middle of it with the two esculators in place but the place in total silence.
