    Kilkenny Family - 26 Bow Street - Circa 1900

Looks like Bown possibly. He says 'no' to being an apprentice but next question asks for name of present (or former) Master, so I'd assume Master means who you are or in this case were apprenticed to.

    Emily Street

Emily Whittingham was his mother. She married William Perks a couple of years after William Henry's birth. So he is either the illegitimate son of Emily and an unknown father who took the name of his step father or the illegitimate son of Emily & William, born before they married.

    John Wooley

Just the usual places, censuses, parish records and military records on the genealogy sites. If you're fortunate there will be service records. He appears to have married Jane Stanbury in 1818 at St Andre's, Plymouth. For him it says of the Royal Marines. His name seems to be spelt various...

Hers one for General Discussion-OUR DATA.

For genealogy DNA is just another tool. Companies that offer the tests like to make out it is a silver bullet but like other tools it has its limitations. I'd guess most people who take a test find out little they didn't already know or would have done if they done their tree,.

There's a mention of a Swiss Cottage, Clement(s) Road, Yardley in the Bham Mail Nov 1913. Nothing appears to be labelled on the map but there are some buildings at southern end, one of which might be it. Photo from this angle maybe (1905)...

Leah was his mother and she married Herbert Martin in 1941, though she appears to have 2 daughters (Amy & Beryl) with him in the early 1920s. Possible that Horace's dad died in WWI, 15 Sep 1916.
