    Bordesley Park/ Cov Rd

My mom was bar-maid at the Old Lodge for years. First when Dan Tremelling - Blues goalkeeper - was licensee and later when Gordon - I can't think of his surname - took over. Shops in parlours

Back in the 50's in Sandy Lane close to Trinity Terrace in Bordesley, there used to be a little front room parlour shop where you could by second-hand comics. An elderly lady used to sit by the front door on a dilapidated chair - there was no room inside because the floor was covered in piles of...

    Railway Terrace, Bordesley

This is Lawden Road, on the right is the railway that leads in to Bordesley Station. In the distance, notice the bridge, just under the bridge on the right there used to be a small row of terraced houses that were derelict in the 50's, I can recall playing in them at the time.

    Fox Street

I used to work at the Daily Express offices in Fox Street in the mid 60's. There was a cafe on the corner where they made the best Bacon and Tom and Bacon and Egg sandwiches in Brum. At the bottom of Fox Street, turn right and two or three doors up a brilliant Italian food shop (Bought Champers...
