Re: Lizzie Jones married in 1901-1910 to?
I think she may have married Walter Frederick Handley in q3 1907 in Kings Norton Registration District as there is a Lizzie and Walter both born 1884 in the 1911 census for Kings Norton
you could look in the local paper archives for an obit/death notification. This usually gives the funeral details and the funeral director who would have precise details. Remember that the majority are cremations these days I think
when we got married in 1970 we had a discount Parkinson Cowan 1200 gas stofrom the in-laws. Sold it a profit anumber of years later (converted to natural gas)
Sorry to be so blunt. I wouldn't bother as it will just say killed in action. you are better with the cwgc memorial or if you want more details you need to research the regiments war diaries
Can anyone tell me the name of a garage in Slade Rd Erdington between the Star Picture House and the Brookvale Public House.(130-166 Slade Rd from directories)
A picture of the cinema or pub would be good
I am trying to find the maiden name of Mrs Kate Unitt who appears in directories from 1933 to 1964 at 133 Slade Rd, Erdington. I believe she lived with her sister Gertie.
TIA
Shame that Birmingham Register Office have refused to take part in the UKBMD project.
It should be noted that some local offices did not record age at death in their own index so age is missing from UKBMD but in the GRO index
