    Yes I was slightly unwell I got blue lights and doctors and nurses on Christmas Day,(most people get socks and hankies).Thanks to medical staff and family support alls now well.

    I remember fishing at a rubbish diposal site on the canal in my younger days,(although heaven knows why, never caught anything).It was in Moore Lane area.Whilst working on the industrial estate off Electric Avenue Witton I came across a chimney preserved as monument.This has a coat of arms on it...

    I learnt to swim at Victoria Rd,started off with water wings.My sister and I both spent hours there.She represented Manor Park Girls,and I swam for Alma St and Holte Grammar, one other famous name was Diana Strawbridge at about the same era.

    Just to let everyone concerned know,Sarah Brotherhood was my grandmother, her son Albert and his wife Joyce (my parents)worked many hours in that coalyard,Raymond,Hazel and Rose also lived there
