A rather grubby photo booth snap of mom and me probably taken in town as we lived in Garrison Lane at the time. Unfortunately I don't have a date but I was born in the summer of 1956 if you can guess my age. You don't see many of those knitted balaclava with shoulders any more.
Unfortunately some people have become more precious and easily offended. These changes to the English spoken/written word are being changed to reflect that.
A 1960 photo of me and my sister on a window sill in Garrison Lane. I've had several goes at it myself but failed miserably, especially the stitching together the break across my check shirt. Time to hand it over to the experts! All attempts greatly appreciated.
Another one this morning from 'Amazon' requesting I log in from the email and edit my delivery address because of delivery problems.
1 / Yes I have an Amazon account.
2/ I have not previously reported a delivery problem.
3/ The delivery number quoted bears no resemblance to any delivery...
I do the same with Findmypast, only now I cancel the auto re-subscription at the same time as paying for a months worth. Been caught out twice in the last couple of years by not realising it was auto re-subscription or plain forgetfulness.
I don't see mention of the Compton Cinema club in this Cinema thread.
I'd left Birmingham aged 17 so never actually attended the cinema myself but it was always a hot topic of discussion with older men I had worked with before I left the area.
Any members? :p
