    I was lucky enough to get a mamod steam engine on my birthday when I was nine, mom and dad were quiet happy to see there only son playing with fire and steam in the garden at such a young age :):) it was duly confiscated at nine years and two days old when a meths spillage set fire to dads...

    Absolutely elmdon well said, if we don't support our small traders once they've gone there gone forever ever, some of these shops would have gone through some hard times when downloading was a big thing so hopefully now vinyl is back they can start to make some money

    Some second hand vinyl is so expensive now not many bargains out there anymore, even the charity shops are wise to it now so the one's you do find are dear.     Haha that's a great story JohnO I totally agree with what you say about the physical work, I was the same after working at the fruit and veg shop it changed my appearance and made me a lot stronger it was like going to the gym everyday and really helped in any school sports I was involved in...

    Gosh 14 and been made to work in conditions like that seems very wrong indeed, nice to hear she managed to get out of that so quickly and find the woollies job, I reckon 14 years old and working on a sweet counter would have been just the ticket and such a relief
