    Sad to hear that Lyn, thank goodness they are able to find vaccines for most diseases. Both my grandads died young one in his 50's and my maternal grandfather 64 , still too young. Wendy

    I always called my mother "mum" and my mother in law "mom" I think it may be a Birmingham thing. My mum was Welsh and she always called her mum "mam"

    Mmmm that sounds yummy, when I am feeling like something savoury ... sometimes... dont laugh, I have a lovely slice of buttered toast with a scraping of bovril on it , I have loved it since I was a kid.

    Maurice that is really strange you said there are cases that have come up that have no obvious connection there has been one here reported today the person has not travelled and not been around anyone infected as far as they can tell !! Virus are so difficult to treat as they mutate too...

    like red onions, sliced finely, put in a saucepan with bit of water and a teaspoon of sugar, bring to the boil, strain pop into a clean jar cover with white vinegar, i keep them in the fridge, they keep their lovely pink colour and are lovely on a sandwich with ham or beef etc I am on the same...
