    Bristol council have got back to me. The road is thought to be named after Cyril Strawbridge, a coal merchant.

    I have just emailed LGBT Birmingham regarding info on the Nightingale.I will let you know what comes of it. They were very helpful in the past by adding a request to their newsletter, but unfortunately nothing came from it.
