    I went to Kingsland Road School, and Hurlingham Road was on our long walk to the swimming baths, did have a friend who lived there, can't remember his surname, if it comes to me I will edit this post. Dennis, I knew the Kirbys from Esher Rd, their son Victor was my best mate for quite some time.

    The Barber I went to on Kingstanding Circle always had a queue outside, so to make sure everyone got their haircut in turn, they used to issue raffle tickets to everyone in the queue. Short back and sides was what you got then.

    Kingstanding

    I lived in Kingstanding with my parents up until I got married in 1964. Dad came from Lennox street & Mother came from Wheeler street. It did not seem to bad a place in those days, but , whenever we pass that way now, it certainly looks the worse for wear.
