    Yes I see, thanks. They lived in that area as well as Birchall Street, Alcester Street and Cheapside between 1823 and 1940. My dad and grandad reckon that the area didn't change much in their life times but began to change in the 1960's. I would be interested in any photo's / information...

    That's great thanks. Do you know much about the place? Would it have been a residential area? One of my ancestors recorded a business of Fire Iron making from here and I wondered if he may have lived here as well.

    Hi dont know how long you posted this thread, but thanks,, John Rhodes is an ancestor of mine and now i know the name of the pub he ran. cheers for that. If you have any more info on him or his father Samuel also a beer retailer i would be grateful to hear it. deb
