    I have checked the names of all volunteers listed in the City Battalions book of Honour but sadly there is no Thomas Thompson listed in any of the original 3 Birmingham Bts of which the 16th was part.

    Hi Paul, There are no Harris's with the initial G in the 14th or 15th Bts, but there are 2 original voluntees in the 16th Bt RWR, the first is: Pte 907 G.M Harris, but the most likely one for you is: Pte 341 G. Harris, KIA 16/04/1917, he is buried at La Chaudier Militry Cemetry. Chucka

    Pte Ernest Wright 14 Bn RWR

    Hi Paul, In the original volunteers there was only 1 more Wright, he was Pte 288 A.Wright and he was killed on 27/07/1916 and is buried in Caterpillar Valley Cemetry. Chucka

    These buttonhole badges were issued to all volunteers of the 1st 2nd & 3rd Birmingham (pals) as you can see this one has been converted into a broach.

    Hi Lisa, your grandad was an original member of the 15th Royal Warwickshires better known as the 2nd Birmingham (Pals) he volunteered at Birmingham July - Aug 1914. He was in C company 11th Platoon. They did their training, and was camped in Sutton Park, he landed in France the end of November...

    Clissold Street

    Hi there, I know this is a long shot but I have letters from a soldier serving in the 3rd Birmingham Pals (WW1) sent to his girlfriend Ethel Hill who lived at No 9 Clissold St, B/ham, would anyone remember the Hill family or have any photo's of Clissold St. PLEASE !!

    I think the Birmingham Pals forum was closed down due to unsuitable and rubbishy posts by people who had no interest in the Pals or anything else decent.
