I found another one on the 1881 census - Joseph and Emma living at 6 Norfolk st, B'ham - so as it's close to the address for 1991, I think I'll stick with that household. Haven't been able to find ANYTHING...

    My gr. and gr.gr. grandfathers are noted with the proffession of 'saddler' and 'riding saddle maker' on census reports. Was there a Saddler business in Aston c1800-1880? If so, does anyone know the name of it!

    I have an Emma Watkins that married Thomas Lorton Dec 1885 in Birmingham (6d 62). On the 1881 census, there is an Emma Robinson living with him- there are two children, Thomas (c1888) and Frederick (c1892).............plus older ones which are Robinsons! Are there two Emma's the same person...
