    Pubs Of The Past

I think you are spot on there Astonian it will be a challenge for the new owners to change the image of the pub. It gained a bad reputation a few years back and that has stuck, maybe the new owners will drop the name and hopefully make a sucess of it but I think it's a big,big risk.

    Pubs Of The Past

This is how the Beeches looks today all lower windows fitted with Sitex panels and the whole area fenced off and plenty of concrete blocks to deter vehicles entering the site. Turner Brothers Toolmakers

    Turner Brothers Toolmakers

The name seems to ring a bell Graham but I am running out of sources to ask, the only person I am still in touch with is Brian Seymour. Petrol Price's

Mike the oil companies have always operated a cartel unofficially just as OPEC used to, at least prices were more stable when they used to fix the price, now we have speculators(gamblers) who trade the oil and are only interested in making a quick buck for themselves. The question I always ask is...

    Petrol Price's

The irony here is that whilst the crude oil price has slumped recently so has the GBP against the USD which is as you know the currency for oil. If the oils companies dont get you the one way they will soon find another.
