Thanks for everything that you have sent me tonight. I think you were right, the fathers name was John, he had lost most of his ginger hair, but I always remember his ginger moustache.
Thanks again

Thanks very much, I think it was the last house on the right before the little entry before the Volcano cafe. I remember their father worked in The Jewellery Quarter and some times I would stop Friday night at their house, because at that time Terry and I were good mates.
Thanks again
There were the Mom and Dad,(They drank in The with Mint with my Mom and Dad) the Dad fought in Italy during WW2, they had 3 children, I cant remember the daughters name but her two brothers were called Barry and Terry. I went to Brookfields school with Terry and later Icknield Street. It would...
I remember a family called Trueman, they lived in Newton during the 60s. I went to school(Icknield Street) with Terry Trueman, I think he was born about 1951 and he died aged about 45, he had a younger brother, I cant remember his name

Thanks very much for replying to my e-mail. How strange that these brave people who died and others who suffered so other people could live have not had their true identity establish and recognised. I will have a look at the site you have identified.
Thanks

Thanks for the responce and what a good job those brave men did in protecting the surrounding streets and the people who lived there and in some cases giving up their lives in the process.
Thanks again

Thanks John
I know of the story because my Dad worked there, also my aunts and uncles. Thats how big factories used their local labour then. I have never heard anybody else talk about this WW2 action in Birmingham. Thanks very much for the reply John.

Hello
When I was very young, my father told me a story about WW2, it was about the above company being bombed by The German Air Force.
My father explained to me, Dockers paints had been set alight after being hit, The Fire Service responded, I dont know how many engines had arrived there to put...
