    Hi Jean, I spent many a happy hour in Salford park with my mates watching the hydroplanes on race days, we used to like to watch them put the boats in the water down the concrete ramp in the far corner of the reservoir ,without a shadow of a doubt it was Salford park, happy days. Brian

    Remember it well, it was hydroplane racing on the reservoir, when it was much bigger than it is now, it was made smaller when they re-routed the river to make way for part of spaghetti junction. Brian

    Hi Maur, I think the Dunlop houses you refer to are the ones in Pype Hayes road, near the junction with chester road. They are the only Boswell houses left standing on the Pype Hayes estate, most of those are now boarded up and will be demolished when the last two or three occupiers move out...
