    New Street Station Platform 3

Thank you Lloyd that's quite a help. just trying to create the back drop for a model of the first Scot I saw there....just so memorable and I'm just doing an 0 gauge model of it back in 1953 and they had red backed nameplates back then , not black as BR did them in the later 1950's......

    New Street Station Platform 3

I'm certain I'm on an impossible task here , but does anyone have a photo of Platform 3 taken from Platform 6 without any locos in the shot and would be possibly 1950's era......? it may possibly have the back view of Queens Hotel as well and although , too much to be expected to be a colour...

    Steam Locos

We used to get some good kops on the Cadbury's Specials and strange things would happen....we used to get LNER B1's allowed to come all the way through to Bournville and carriage stocks were allowed from Southern region, always clean locos too on the Specials........they were good days back then.

    Birmingham buses

Once upon a time many years back they would drive these old piano front buses into a field in Arley and use them as caravan holiday lets....as I know from a family holiday way back in 1946...somewhere in my archives I still have a photo of the event.......with the bus wheels removed and on...
