A pair of pliers & pincers did the job, so fiddly. Now i need to buy & fit another bracelet & if successful i shall give the watch to charity. I just hope the person who lost the watch doesn`t turn up when i`ve repaired it. Thanks for the help.

Looking closely at these photo`s they do look like the fixings on the watch so probably pliers or a very small spanner Do you think i should give the pliers a go? Can`t think where i would get such a small spanner.

Thanks mate but ive seen that one & a dozen others on youtube. None of them say how to remove links without the pin hole, especially the link that joins the watch itself. The heel bar in the shopping centre wanted £24.50 just to change the battery !! I shall try pliers & if that doesn`t work...

A few weeks back i found this rather nice Michael Kors watch. I bought a gizmo to get the back off & replaced the battery. Now i need to replace the broken strap/band but i can`t figure out how to remove it other than cut it off with a hacksaw which i`m bound to mess up. If anyone has the...

Holidays : Holidays at home and days out

Sorry Pedro, I don`t mind catching fish but i couldn`t kill them. That`s one good thing about fish & chips in Bridlington, the fish are already battered to death.

Holidays : Holidays at home and days out

Maurice, I loved holidaying in Greece, I have been to quite a few islands & like you say, the food was always good & fairly priced. Sadly can`t go abroad anymore due to my wife`s poor health. I`ll be getting stick from the mods for going off topic so i had better add that i`m going to...

Holidays : Holidays at home and days out

I knew there was no parking at the hotel, but it stated free parking within a 20 second walk but it didn`t state it was only for 2 cars & the chance of finding those spaces empty were nil. The fish & chips at £14.50 was for one person, so for two of us + 2 cappuccinos the bill was £37 & that...

What do you watch on tv nowadays ?

Richard, I don`t think he realises you`re from "over the pond". National Health Service we have is excellent, & some hearing aids are free as was mine. I think that the behind the ear aids start at about £500 if you have to buy private, but like i said i think they`re brill. Beware some BTE aids...

Holidays : Holidays at home and days out

Had a 2 day break at Bowness on Windermere. I thought it would be quiet at this time but the place was absolutely heaving with tourist`s. Also very expensive, there was no parking at our hotel so had to park in a long stay car park, it cost me £17.50 for a 3 day parking ticket ( only 3 or 7 day...

    Computer help

I bought myself a cheap laptop to use when on holiday & found that the usb port was usb-type c, so i had to buy a usb- type c flash drive from Currys. It`s less than 40mm long, has a usb-type c on one end & a usb 3.1 type A on the other end. I find it amazing how much how much storage space...

    Covid vaccination process

My Wife has been out of hospital now for over 2 weeks. She phoned our local surgery to explain why she missed her 2nd jab & she had a phone this am to say a Doctor would be coming out on Saturday to give her the 2nd jab. A Doctor indeed, i would have thought they would have passed the job onto a...

It all looks genuine but i think i`ll wait till Monday so i can phone & find out why they are looking for me. You never know, they may owe me some dosh...

Never mind the date, what day is it.

The worrying thing is, if you have an accident & the paramedic says "do you know what day it is? " my reply would be be " do i know what day it is, i don`t even know what bloody year it is" !!
