That's Thomas Owen Cole,he was my Great Grandfather,on my Mother's side of the family...I never met him as far as I know,I believe he died when I was very young..I visited the trunk works a couple of times with my Mom,around 1950,as my Grandma worked there...Here's where it was located...

A large area of John Bright Street was bombed in November 1940,here's a picture of just part of it...

I believe the tram is on Hill Street and that's part of New Street Station roof in the background...This bomb damaged building would have been one of these I've indicated on this pre war aerial picture...
