    Old Birmingham

    Apart from the usual coloured Birmingham postcards this is the only photograph I have. It could do with a sharpening up as it doesn't seem to be as good on here as the actual photo. My Mother worked for a solicitor during the war so I don't know if there were any solicitors offices around that...

    Going through my late Mothers photographs I came acroos this picture of Birmingham. I don't know where but it's looking towards the church in the Bull ring I think and is that New Street station? I can't get my bearing from the photo.

    As a teenager....... Does anyone recall "Bucket" bags from the 1950's? Shaped like a bucket, hence the name. I remember wearing circular skirts with several underskirts made of net stiffened with sugar water and very tight sweaters with ya boobs up round your neck!! Exsquisite form...

    Thank you Baron...............it's his face that I love as he watches, fasinated, the water drops through his little fingers. He has always had a love of nature his first word, after mama and dada, was trees, I always said to him, as I was pushing his pram, "Look at the pretty trees"

    We all have many photos of our children I am sure do you have a favourite one? I have lots of favorites ones of my four children but I must be honest and say that this is my very favourite one of all.........this is my eldest son taken when he was about 16 months old up in the Lake District...

    Hi Peter, I have Quincey's in my family Gertrude Ethel Quincey was my paternal Grandmother. There is a Quincey site www.dequinceyfamily.co.uk run by a Victor de Quincey that maybe of assistance to you. Although it says "de Quincey" it has Quincey's included.
