    Hi Heather, Martha Matilda Simons was christened at St. Martins, Birmingham on 7 July 1829 but born on 3rd May 1819. Parents were William and Martha Simons. William Simons was a brushmaker and they lived at Coleshill Street at that time.

    just a little more info about samuel garbett. in 1901 he was a maltster living winson green rd. samuel and elizabeth garbett were born kingswinford. they were married 1880 in stourbridge and elizabeths maiden name was NEW.

    it is a difficult one! the thomas (aged 3 mths) on the 1891 census i found could have died. people often called a future child by the same name when they lost a child, so thats not really a problem. the william young b. abt 1859 "machinist" in 1891 certainly corresponds with the 1911 census...

    I still think its worth a look as the parents are listed as born Malvern, Worc, and the children are just dittoed. (especially as they are living Bordesley as well, which is where you said they married). Best of luck with your search

    hi cuddrm, the only info on the original is that edward kirk was a bachelor "of this parish" and hannah carpenter was a spinster "of this parish". married by banns. signed with a cross. witnesses were william and ann allton , who signed their names. hope this helps in some way.

    Hi Terry, as Maurice said, nothing in 1918, but in 1920 at "142" Argyle Street theres a Frank and Ellen Harvey. Just coincidence or are these family members and you have wrong house number??
