    Lichfield Road Aston

I would put money on the basis the chimneys were under construction, they even look brand new,no staining or weathering, If you blow up the picture, there appears to be a workman working from inside the chimney...………………..Mal

    Lichfield Road Aston

The aerial photo dated 1952 is probably correct if it is showing the chimneys being built, and not being demolished.I would also say that the 1939 photograph is correct,as construction would not have started,or probably even been planned at that date...……..Mal

    Summer Lane Post Office

Summer lane post office was on the junction of Summer Lane and New John street West. I used to live on the opposite side of the same junction...………..I don't know if it was ever a pub, but both the Vine, and the Brittania were within 20 yards of the post office,so I doubt it ever was a...

    Handsworth Park Victoria Park Handsworth

Same here. In my memory the entrance to the park was on the opposite side of the road to the baths. Lovely to see that picture and all the ones of the park. No Jayell, the picture is correct. The entrance to the baths was on the same side of Grove Lane as the park main entrance. Don't...
