Hi Andrew , that looks like only half of the rink as it only shows one face off area for the hockey ,do they split the rink for general skating? Nice pick by the way

My Aunt Edith Lamb ran this shop around the1950s she lived over the road at I think No16 ?

I got engaged in that coffee bar/THE RENDEZVOUS BACK IN 1960 ,one thing I remeber is the large picture on the wall of the WEMBLY LIONS Ice hockey team playing out doors in Russia.

Hi Pom well its nice to see some folks read my post I posted that map way back then ( ASTON now "THE BARON" ) It must have been great to have had a day out at the lower grounds back then They even had anm ice rink !

When you think of all the guys & galls that attended the old BIRMINGHAM RINK there would be lots more postings & photos (or am I getting old along with all my fellow skaters from back then) Hope your OK Phil

Perhaps it would have been better to have left the old buildings where they were. To true Beverleigh Having visited Leminghton they have kept the old frontages & built moden shopping behind,now thats PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE not just get of rid of our Cities past for a quick buck ! So glad you...

Oh and by the way Baron..I was on the Committee for The Barons for a time....Happy Days !! what years that lindyloo, must have been after the brakeaway VIKINGS were formed As JOHN MORRIS, ART HAMBIDGE & REG WILLIAM ( All commitee members of the original BARONS ) came over to the new Vikings...
