    Thank you for the photo - I have put it out to the family to see if stirs memories! the Eagle pub was only 'The Eagle'. Not sure if it was near the 'Swan' factory? Surely within the smell of the sauce factory!

    Hi Lynn Have had a quick search through your photos of old Birmingham - loved it! My dad was the licensee of the 'Crosskeys' and the 'Eagle' pubs, probably 1960's.     Inkerman St Vauxhall

    I was born in Inkerman street in 1957. Does anyone remember the Edwards family in the street at that time? My mum was Dora and Dad was George (ex navy), I think he worked for the gas works? My sisters are Janice, Carole and Jacqueline (Jacky)

    Hi - does anyone have any information on James Frederick Edwards (1876-1933) who married Rosina Showell (1896-1959). His father was Samuel Edwards and I think his mother was Elizabeth Birch but have yet to prove that. Family history has it that James went into a London workhouse as an orphan...
