    Childhood Memories

Just seen this post. Surely not true? Were there really armed vigilantes patrolling the streets of a Birmingham suburb? I have never heard of such a thing. RIFLES SLUNG OVER THEIR SHOULDERS? You say you noticed them which implies you actually saw them. Did anyone report them to the...

    Give us yer donny

At the risk of straying off topic I think a lot of pseudo french phrases were brought back with soldiers returning from the Great war. Plonk is one example (Vin Blanc), San Fairy Ann (Ca ne fait rien) is another. Those two phrases are known throughout the country so why particular ones such as...

Artefacts : Repurposed artefacts or items of historical interest

Great picture Viv but the ones at Crich are quite different, as you say perhaps came from one of the many entrances to the market.

Artefacts : Repurposed artefacts or items of historical interest

Perhaps I'm getting confused with these gates which states that they come from the old Birmingham Wholesale market. but I'm sure that when I visited the the museum about 20 years ago the B'ham Tram depot gates were installed there sorry picture gone missing

    DISGUSTING FOOD

Saw a programme on t.v. a few weeks ago featuring a couple of Herefordshire farmers who started making their own crisps using locally sourced ingredients. Although not the cheapest we decided to send for a boxed of mixed flavoured crisps. Have to admit they are certainly the best crisps we've...

    DISGUSTING FOOD

After shelling the pods you need to remove the skin surrounding the bean. If cooked correctly they are delicious.
