That,s interesting info Ray I thought I was losing it as I can remember the outside of this building from the 60s-70s.Was it still in use in some other capacity?? Dek

Hi Wendy although this may be the church David is thinking of it was demolished long before the Ringway was built in saying that I can,t think of another church in that area.Dek

I agree Wendy The Old Gun Quarter sound Perfect to me.We have St Chads as a landmark but the area of St Georges has gone from when we new it.Take what was once the Italian Quarter and is now Eastside how boring is this? And I cant comment on the buildings that are being...

Hi Lyn this is much later than you mention I remember back in the early 60s there was a Hostel run by the R.C.Church on the corner of Lower Loveday St and Princip St perhaps the address is wrong. Dek
Don,t know how it relates to the tropics but it takes me back to when I started in the building trade only three trades wore Boiler suits,Plumbers Pipe Fitters and Electricians the rest wore the Bib and Brace. Dek
Sorry guys the Brewery Tavern was on the corner of Crambury St (opposite the police station)Mike post informs us of number changes this pub was down the other end of Bloomsbury St.Dek
Thanks Mike that makes sense the one side of Bloomsbury St was demolished between Heneage St and Loxton St (before my era, to allow the building of South Tower)
