    Hello Eddie 14, I lived with my husband and sons at 46 Croft Rd I was friends with Malcolm and Pauline Bastock and their son Mark was friends with my son Nigel, I am still in contact with Mark, Malcolm died a few years ago and Pauline remarried.

    I used to have to go to that clinic in the fifties, I had bronchitis and asthma and The doctor I saw was Professor Smellie, I ended up going to an open air clinic called Cropwood in Blackwell, Nr Bromsgrove. Regards Trebor (Rita)

    I also went to Marsh Hill open air school, as well as Cropwood, Marsh Hill was a day school, where as Cropwood was a boarding school. I was much happier at Marsh Hill, the headmistress was Ms Hazel, and there was Mrs Browning and Mr Davies and Mr Wilson to name a few. The matron was called...

    Sheldon shops

    I think one of the shops was the Yardley School of motoring, the owner was David Furey and is still operating in Solihull. I learnt there and so did loads of my friends and family, we then took our tests at Comberton Rd test centre. Regards trebor

    Evacuation to Blackwell

    There were two open air schools in Blackwell, Hunters Hill for the boys and opposite was Cropwood for the girls, they were houses that were donated by the Cadbury family to Birmingham council, maybe he was sent to the boys school. Regards trebor (Rita)
