William married on 21st Feb 1918 to Beatrice,i thought it said Army pensioner on his
marriage certificate, sorry it was on his daughters Birth Certificate who was born December 1919.

Thankyou,yes William was born in Birmingham as far as i know he as not got a middle name,trouble with Sheppard there are different variations of
spelling.

I have been trying to find my Grandfather William Sheppard born abt 1887
sorry i don`t know what Regiment he was in.
On his marriage certificate it said pensioned out of the army,i have looked
on the Army Pensions but can`t seem to find him.
I think he was living in Camden Street or Camden...

I went to Burlington Street Seniors left in 1964,you have been on about
the houses,Nightingale,Fry,Cavell,i am sure the other one was Scott and it was Yellow.I was in this house.

Hi,My Ancestor William Henry Bennett born abt 1898 in Twyning,
Gloucestershire.He was killed in WWI but i am not sure which Regiment
he was in,i have looked at records on Ancestry but there are no parents
names so i don`t know which is the right one.

I would be grateful for a lookup on these 2 Birth`s please.
Trouble is there parents Joseph Martin and Elizabeth Bennett never married until 1918.So i am not sure if they took the Martin or Bennett
name.

Hi Nick,
Thankyou for the information and the site it is very interesting,My Father
was born in Raddle Barn Rd. in Aug 1922,maybe it had changed from a
Workhouse to Selly Oak hospital by then.
