    So yesterday morning, quite pleasant I decided to plant out some seedlings, two hours later an almighty storm thunder lightning and hail which went on for over an hour my seedlings beaten to hell and buried in a two inch layer of hailstones.

    Thanks Andrew, I just wasn't sure if the stuff labelled for Azalea Camellia and Rhododendron was the right stuff for the Olive, I'm told it 'might' produce fruit at about seven years old but have no idea really as it came as a pot plant. I'll post a picture later.

    The Pollitt's photos reminded me, just along the road on the same side there was the Pelican Cafe, Politt sent me there every evening to collect a bin of 'pig food' for his farm. Also Gundle bikes where I had to take the errand bike to have its brakes fixed after nearly running the point duty...

    My parents moved into their house in Kingstanding in January 1933, the rent was 10/3d a week which included the rates. They lived there until dad died and four years later mom was moved into a nursing home, the rent at the end was £17.40 a week, They didn't get hot water until the late 1960s...

    I have in the corner of my garden an olive tree, my daughter sent it to me as a pot plant some long time ago so when it outgrew the pot I popped it into the garden, it's now about ten feet tall. What I'd like to know is, I have some Miracle-Gro I bought for the Camelia would that be good or bad...

    In Monmouth yesterday I saw a man cleaning the frontage of a charity shop, noticed this, we had one of those in Warren farm road where mom shopped when we were kids.

    When I worked for Watsons we used to come out of Sheepcote Street cross onto the footpath where that bus stop sign is drive along the footpath and reverse into Watsons showroom through the front doors.
