    Could I please ask for some help? I am trying to find the date of the marriage between. William C hands b 1847 ...and Elizabeth Barrand b 1845 their 1st child was born in 1868 I have the birth certificate of their 6th child so I know this is the mothers name. Thank you.

    Hi Angjim Yes I remember some of the names you mentioned I did know a few school friends out of Hurstcroft I lived at the bottom in Eddish Road. i have a sister Margaret who also went to Ridpool and Lea Village.

    I remember Lathams at Glebe Farm when I first started knitting I used to buy my wool from there. If i remember right it had a wooden floor.It had big windows both side of the door on a corner.It was the last shop before you went round the corner.

    Thanks for that Mike-g This Lady was a widow by 1901 so perhaps this is why she is there. I was just surprised to find her there with having such a big family I thought one of them might have given her a home. I will have to send for her death certificate to see if she finished her days there.

    Hi would anybody have a picture of Gower Street Aston Manor and could you tell where it was please the address I have is of a back to back house but I would imagine it has been demolished by now. The family were living there in 1915. Thank you.
