    i know maryvale road my uncle and aunt lived there as do my cousin .they all worked at cadburys..im going back to 1950s i used to visit.them and get the bags of chocolate waste mis-shapes ..a rare treat for us....

    we are a different breed ..we respected our parents and teachers because we were brought up with respect...a slap round the ear off the copper on the beat..was acceptable by parents. today they would be prosecuted..teachers were allowed to punish .i usually got 500 lines ..there is no family...

    thanks for the info guys....alec leake was a mechanic at turnpike garage highgate rd.....he used to drink with richie arnold.....i got highgate rd mixed up with ombersley rd .the pic you posted was a great improvement on the hereford i knew. .....
