    Hi Gunmaker According to FMP there is a burial at Handsworth Cemetery of a James Rogers in 1928 register number 12404 and Ann Louisa Rogers buried 1929 register number 12838 regards Suzanne

    John What is also interesting is that my 1st cousin 1 removed, Violet Lilian Rogers, who lived at 5 court 26, married a Charles Henry Noel Sheppard and then they moved to Gravelly Hill. Wonder if there is a connection between the shopowners you mention even thought the spelling is different...

    Hi I have various members of my Rogers family living in Watery Lane from about 1917 to at least 1955. Addresses were, 5 back 211, 4 back 211 and 5 court 26. It seems any pictures or maps that were on this thread have now disappeared? Would it be possible to post some of them again please...

    Hi Ron Looking again at the Pension records (only 3 pages) I think that the handwriting which has been understood by Ancestry as 3rd ASM & RFA isn't quite correct. There is a stamp under the signature of the recruiting offer and it says - Captain, R.F.A. Adjutant 3rd South Midland Brigade...
