Good music to listen to on U Tube

I like the "nerd alert" however, talking about sound reproduction is such a subjective topic, it's almost like discussing politics or religion. I don't consider myself to be a nerd of any kind, but I do have a "good ear" when listening to music, albeit, not as good as it used to be. I don't have...

Good music to listen to on U Tube

I watch Youtube very often, mostly music...But unlike most people of my age, do not have much in common as far as taste in music goes. I have been listening to music seriously since I was a child, and still do to this day. My appetite for music is in constant change and ever evolving. I listen...

Wow! Thats a really great shot! You can see both cinemas on the High St. the Globe & the Orient. It absolutely captures the feel of going up the road. This area was known as the Monkey Run or just "the Run". Dave A

    aston sheds

I've been left Brum 60 years, I don't even recall 2 levels. I do remember the diversions, sitting on grassy banks overlooking the line, there were grassy banks on both sides something like a "cutting"or culvert, maybe this is what is being referred to. I do remember bunking in to Aston sheds and...

I used to go to New St Station every evening on my way home from school to see what was pulling the 5.00 Glasgow train. Lots of "crates" but sometimes a "cop". Even saw a blackie pull it from time to time. Dave A

Going to MSA across the road, the baths were the place we spent most of our lunches swimming instead. Never took much notice of the building at the time. I do remember the mens side and ladies side.. Dave A

    Pre-decimalisation money

I remember when my son was born in 1968, we bought him over to the UK (from Canada) to meet the grand folks. The shilling piece was being introduced as 5p, as a way of easing into the upcoming decimalization of currency, anyone remember that? Later in 1971, I was back visiting and the new...
