    The Windsor Pub Cannon St.

    I used to go in the Windsor,go into Yates wine bar for a glass of Australian white,then go through to a proper pub.The Windsor was the first pub I remember where they served draught Guinness,with one of their beef sandwiches it was a feast,never went upstairs though.

    Thanks Phil,I have never seen a photo of the "Corner Cupboard" before,it was very tiny inside. Carol,The Old Royal,was infamous for "ladies of the night",it also had some beautiful oak paneling inside...it was well worth a visit,never took my wife in there though.

    The church in the village of Braunston,Northamptonshire,was a favourite venue for boaty weddings.They probably keep their own records.Jumping over the broomstick is what you may be thinking of Morturn,it was a temporary marriage in remote places,and would suffice until a visiting clergyman arrived.
