    Thanks anyway.As a point of interest,I remember having a chat with a bloke in Perth who told me he was amongs the last of the £10 poms (the last ship)...but it cost him £300:rolleyes:,this was in 1974,would that be about right?.

    Chocks, The last time I looked there were a few laid between a short lengh of tram track,near the Hare and Hounds pub, at the Rednal terminus.

    There you go Carolynn.One of them noisy ratchet type thingys.This one has history,it was bought in 1945 at the central fire station when they sold everything off. My eldest son painted it in the Everton colours,(his team).And it has been to the Holte End thus painted,while my other son supported...

    Frothy,is that the one in Gough St.?.If so it's the club where they hold meetings for the Birmingham wartime evacuees.I went there to take them a copy of my evacuation papers,no one else had any,I had mine because I didn't go. Oh,as an aside Gough St. is the steepest hill in Birmingham.
