Ah right, I had a feeling they might have been in that area.
I lived in Perry Barr and I went to St John's Brownies so I know Church Road quite well but I can't quite picture the prefabs.
Hopefully it might be possible for someone to find you a photo!

I know some of it was added when the Royal Ballet moved to Birmingham in the early 90s I think, they had very nice rehearsal studios added, someone I knew took me to have a look around.

I went to The Factory a few times, once to see Breakthru (remember them?) and also to see Bakerloo Blues line and a couple of the other of Jim Simpson's Big Bear Folly bands.

I also worked at the DHSS on Soho Road for a couple of years, early 80s I think.
Looking at Google maps I think it must have been this place but I can't remember the original name....
I do remember Danny, probably spoke to him a few times, seemed a very nice guy. I'm very sorry to hear he's no longer with us :(

I was too young to understand anything about rationing although it was still on in early 50s but reading about the margarine made me think about my Nan, she was a big fan of loose Danish Tub butter so it must have been a hard time for her :laughing:
