    I remember Bilton Grange PO, until Poole Way was built this was our local PO where mom would collect her family allowance. Was it 4s.6d per child, but nothing for the first born.

    Acocks Green changed so much in 1930's. Downhill is always towards the village, looks too wide for the road to Tyseley, so that leaves the road to Olton, but doesn't look right.

    I was there 58-70, much of the time at Umberslade, and then in die-cast division, that is when I wasn't up at the sports ground at Elmdon.

    Not sure, but shortly afterwards the road was pedestrianised. Maybe it had been erected in anticipation.
