In 1950 the Chief Fire Officer of Birmingham Fire Brigade approached serving Fire Brigade Personnel to produce a scale Model of part of the Jewellery Quarter for use by the Home Office in Civil Defence Training.
The Finished Model was 36 Feet long (11 Metres).

The Fire Station Houses were at #100 - Ravenhurst Street - Percy Stinchcombe and #101 Ravenhurst Street - William Johnson.
The Wheeled Escape would have been stored outside the 2 Fireman's houses.
