Janice, just looked them up. I know W R Grace very well and used their DAREX material for years. I will send them a note tomorrow and see if I can get a response to DALEX. W R Grace makes plastics, film and other chemicals so there could be a good fit.

Yes, I saw that; looked like an early version of a semi synthetic material used on relatively high volume furniture manufacturing. The name coming from their address Dale End. Then nothing!

Not sure about the mentholated sprit because I have no experience with that approach, but I do like the idea of using the fine grit sanding approach. I think that Morts council is very appropriate, thinking carefully as to what do you want to end up with? Good luck!

It sure beats the hell out of an Xbox! We build a little brick house, maybe 6’x8’ with a fireplace inside a bombed out building and the junction of SoHo and Hamstead reds, We used it every day for about a week in the summer then went away for a few days. When we came back the wall of the bombed...

    The Gun Lock Trade

Very interesting modifications back in 1867, just of think of the mechanism changes back then and how each was made by hand. No SolidWorks program computer controlled milling machine!

    The Gun Lock Trade

Do they still allow that on new guns? In the US and Canada the hammer has to be closed for safety purposes, at least that is my understanding.

The skil required to do this workaday incredibly high, particularly making multiple weapon mechanisms. In addition to the filing, the heat treatment and conditioning was to utmost care and skill!

Scams: telephone, email, texts 2023, 2024

The problem is that the scammers just keep going regardless of how many times you get hit or repot them. Our local hospital just had their/our files hacked and there is little that can be done except spend more on cyber security keep our fingers crossed and who pays for that in the long run!

So much fun we had in the bombed-out buildings without thinking about the suffering that was caused! They were like magnets to us without giving second thoughts that something might fall on us.
