    This is a photo of my Grandparents restored by kind members of the site,It means a lot me as I never knew them. They married in 1915,so I would think it was taken around then.

    Steralised milk was popular before we all had fridges,It does last longer did they use it in cereals? My mom woudn't have anything else suppose it's what you get used to, can't stand that long life milk.

    I have been told that one of my relatives worked for Gospels Hauliers,I hope thats the correct spelling he was living in the Haymills/Yardley area, he carried out his work on a horse and cart,has anyone heard of Gospels,or where they were located.

    I have just got back from visiting Yardley Cemetery,and can't believe how messy people can be,I can understand someone takeing a container for water when they take flowers but why do they just discard the containers on to others graves,I took three milk containers to the bin that had been left...

    I keep looking over the same ground,I have looked and I think your right about Horace being Albert Horace,I don't know why Ellen May or her husband can't be found,I have spend ages looking, knowing they have to be there thinking I may have missed them,they will come to light sooner or later.

    Yes I don't know how any children she had,the only one I am sure of is the one that died in 1953 age 21 his name Horace Albert buried at Witton.

    I think he must have been alive, on there sons grave it says son of Albert and May Rattcliffe, would they have said deseased if either had died.

    I have been looking for the death of Ellen May Ratcliffe nee Garfield,believe she was called May by the family I have found her birth in 1897 and her wedding in 1917, but the death I just cannot find.
