Hi all, does anyone know what kind of small green birds fly around Handsworth Cemetery, and they possibly a type of parrot, there seemed to be dozens there this last Monday morning
I don't know about this cemetery but there are loads of green parakeets around Chelmsley , Kingshurst and Castle bromwich, they started off years ago in Shard End and then spread out.
They are noisy little devils and eat apples on the trees

Thanks Alberta, I’ve seen the odd one or two before on my visits to family graves but this last week there were quite a few flying in and out of the trees
We have loads of them in London!
In my area they are so many of them in the trees in the parks and other areas where there are large trees. When I came here in 1998 it would have been unbelievable to think of something like that happening in the UK.
