Anyone know anything about this chapel ? Is it Saltley Birmingham ? Is it still there ? Viv.

An 1889 map shows a congregational chapel on Saltley Road. Looks to have a similar footprint to the photo. Just discovered there is still a Sportsman Pub on the site.

This is a drawing of the original Saltley Chapel on Saltley Road. It very much looks to be the same building before the later additions. I lived in the area in the early 50's and I don't ever remember seeing it, so it was obviously gone by then. I also remember the Sportsman in the 60's and it was not the sort of place you wanted to be if you were of a sensitive nature.

i would say they are the same buildings phil minus the 2 buildings either side
